Our Staff David Purinai, President AAI® (Accredited Advisor of Insurance), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CWCA (Certified Workers Compensation Advisor), CRM (Certified Risk Manager) began his work in the insurance business after graduating from the Merchant Marine Academy and serving on United States Merchant Ships. He returned to Rocky Mount, N.C. in 1984 to become a principal owner in the Simmons and Harris Agency that was established in 1922. Since 1984, Simmons and Harris Agency has grown through several agency acquisitions and in 1990, David became President of MAYO, SIMMONS & HARRIS Insurance. He has worked with civic organizations such as United Way and served as President of Junior Achievement. In October of 1992, David received the Independent Agents of North Carolina Association Achievement Award sponsored by the American Association of Managing General Agents. David is active in the Independent Agents of North Carolina Association and recently re-joined as its Board of Directors after serving a previous six year term. He currently serves as Chairman of the Technical Committee for the IIANC. This committee reviews insurance policies and coverages, then presents information to North Carolina insurance agents for awareness. David, a Dortches North Carolina native, is married to the former Susan Kelly of Arlington, Massachusetts and they have two children, Elizabeth and Andrew. Brian Trebenski, AAI® (Accredited Advisor of Insurance)Vice President & General Manager began his career after graduating with a degree in Business Administration. After nearly 20 years working with one of the largest Financial Institution in North American in both US and Canadian based operations, Brian joined MSH Insurance in 2006. Brian completed his Personal Financial Planning accreditation in 1996, the Certified Workers Compensation Specialist and in May of 2009 completed the AAI® Program. Sandy D. Temple, joined MSH Insurance in 2008 as Personal Insurance, Account Manager. Sandy is licensed in Property & Casualty in the state of NC and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and is currently working on her CISR designation. Jerry Fisher , CLCS (Commercial Lines coverage Specialist) joined MSH Insurance in November of 2007. Jerry brings over 16 years of sales, marketing and customer service to the MSH team. Jerry is a North Carolina licensed Property & Casualty agent and has attended The Hartford School of Insurance. Jerry support our community participating in several civic organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Crime Stoppers, Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce, Tar River Jaycees, and as a rookie league football coach for the Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation Department. He and his wife Kim are the proud parents of two children and live in the Rocky Mount area. Mark Tharrington ,CBIA (Certified Builders Insurance Agent) joined MSH Insurance in January 2003. He has 3 years experience in the Insurance Industry. He is licensed in Property and Casualty, Life and Health, and Medicare Supplement/ Long Term Care. Prior to joining Mayo, Simmons, and Harris, Mark was a PGA Golf Professional in the Carolinas for 17 years. Mark and his wife Darlene live in Greenville with their two children Leigh and Tanner. Karl Helmkamp, joined MSH Insurance in 2002. Karl is currently licensed in Property and Casualty. Karl lives in Eure NC. Our Business Service Team Ann Burnette, CBIA (Certified Builders Insurance Agent), CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) joined MSH Insurance in 1997 as a Personal Lines Customer Service Agent. Ann is a licensed Property & Casualty agent and has over 19 years of experience in the insurance industry. She currently is serving as a Customer Service Agent in the Commercial Lines Department. Ann and her husband, Earl, have two children and live in Castalia, NC. Nadine Rowe, CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) joined MSH Insurance in August 2004 and she is a licensed Property & Casualty agent. Nadine provides office support to the commercial lines team. Nadine lives in Rocky Mount with her husband, Gabe. Jill Vick, CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) joined MSH Insurance in 2005 as a Personal Lines Customer Service Agent. Jill is licensed in Property & Casualty and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jill currently lives in Whitakers with her husband Tim and her son Bailey. She has four year of previous insurance experience as a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster and a Property & Casualty Customer Service Agent. She is member of the Young Professional Network of Rocky Mount since November 2006 and serves on the board since March 2008. Currently Takyla serves on the Community Fellows Advisory Committee for the Down East Partnership for Children. She graduated from the Leadership Rocky Mount Program in 2008. She serves as a PTA member at Benvenue Elementary where her son attends school. |
